Where is the ban button!? Take 4 cups of water, bring to boil. Boil two bags of Luzienne family size t bags for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Let sit for 10 minutes. Remove and discard bags. Pour in 1 heaping cup of sugar and stir until dissolved. In a large pitcher, have 6 cups of cold water and add the 4 cups of hot tea. Let cool in the fridge and pour over ice in a mason jar If you don’t like that, there is no hope of you.
8 cups water, 4 family size bags, 2 heaping cups of sugar and don't dilute with the 6 cups of water. Fixed. Makes 1 serving.
I love sweet tea done Southern style. I like unsweetened iced tea if it’s fresh. Hot Earl Grey with honey or raw cane sugar is heavenly. Unfortunately its diuretic properties keep tea out of my diet. I can drink one (or two) of the 32oz Dos Equis from the local Mex place with dinner and sleep thru the night. A couple big glasses of water or soda and I’m fine. But 8-12oz of tea will have me up four or five times tripping over the cats and annoying the dogs.
This! And I'm from about as far south as you can get. I come from a family of diabetics so I'm not rocking the boat. And this! And definitely this!!!
One of the best things about 'murica is that iced tea is actually just iced tea. The problem is if you go too far south they start ******* it up again.
and WW3 starts in North America.......Canada VS the US SOUTH......it all started over a cup of tea......
I like strong tea because the tannic acids ease hunger pangs, I can go for a LONG time as long as i can stop for a brew up. my tea makes people cry. I knock it back like beer. HOt (warmer side of hell) or cold one of my best buds is an older , long retired English/UK tank driver. Andy taught me to how to do a proper brew up. Boil water. Add a pile of loose or bagged tea. Boil. Add a pile of sugar and milk, Boil. Add more milk and sugar. Boil. Taste. Add more loose strong black tea. Boil. serve piping hot and add more sugar and milk. damn spoon stood straight up when put into his "tea" BUT WOW THE ALERT MENTAL STATE AND LACK OF HUNGER WAS GREAT. 100 KM MARCH? NO PROB......LETS DO IT AND GET BACK IN TIME FOR TEA! and although i do not like sugar or milk in my tea.....I make exceptions for his tea....because I'm scared ****less to refuse a cuppa from him . Seriously i do not get scared by much.....but when Andy is in "we're stopping for a brew up NOW " mode....i do not question it. Too terrified of the Good Lad. i should add.......those UK army chaps....the older ones.....DO NOT PREVENT THEM FROM A BREW UP. .........they take it really seriously. They will **** your **** up.......
I have had a couple sips of coffee and less than three glasses of iced tea in my entire life and I plan to hold the line right there. Nasty stuff, both of them.
